Flat Foxy

Flat Foxy

Flat Foxy

Like many chainmaille bracelets it is hard to believe this is made with jumprings, just like its big sister Foxy. It’s a wonderful weave and forms itself into a rectanglular chain. The top photo shows the top, while the lower photo shows the side image.

I haven’t selected a date for it yet, but if you are interested in being contacted once the date is set, send me an email from the class page on the website. Clicking the picture will take you there!

Billy suggested Road Kill Foxy for a name, but somehow the name didn’t evoke that sense of whimsy I was looking for, lol.

Wire Straightening Tweezers

Wire Straightening Tweezers

I just added these to the store’s tool section. As soon as I have the time I’ll be adding them to the online boutique.  The Bead Holder is great for holding your beads while enlarging or drilling holes in them. They have grooves for many different shapes.

The Wire Straightening Tweezers are awesome for straightening headpins and other light gauges of wire . I’ve carried the larger versions that work for nearly all gauges, but if all you ever use are light gauges, these are the thing for you. Many of you have seen a similar pair being used in the store by Billy. Yep, those headpins don’t get straight by themselves!!

Stashes

The moving process continues, box by box.

As I shuttle box after box of “my stuff” (so dubbed by Billy) it occurs to me that when one loses interest in a hobby, and moves to the next, one should purge themselves of any trace of it, thus avoiding a huge accumulation of “my stuff”.

So, as I rub my aching arms and shoulders and ponder how to put 500 pounds of art and craft items in a small rubbermaid-box-of-a-room, I think that maybe never having had a hobby, or 10, or 30 might not have been a bad thing after all.  A nice deck of cards and a rousing game of solitaire could have sufficed perhaps? Ha, who am I kidding?

Billy shudders every time I say I would like to learn to make furniture.

Always a Typo!

For those of you who received my June 18th newsletter, the date of the next Super Saturday Sale was wrong. The day of the week was correct (Saturday) but the date is June 27. Sorry. What would life be without typos? Simpler.
